Atek ki Lwak – Towards better access to psychosocial health for street children and youth in Gulu
TheAtek Ki Lwak – Towards better access to psychosocial health for street children and youth in Gulu was a two-year initiative (September 2022 – December 2024) implemented in partnership with St. Phillips Health Center, Vivo International, and supported by Eirene Suisse and FEDEVACO. Building on a successful pilot phase, the project aimed to improve the physical and mental health of street-connected children and youth (SCCYs) in Gulu, addressing critical health challenges and promoting reintegration into communities. The project focused on healthcare access, mental health support, hygiene promotion, family reintegration, and advocacy, ensuring that street-connected children and youths (SCCYs) could receive medical treatment, psychosocial support, and vocational skills training to help them transition into independent living.
